Trail Description

The trail

Red Rocks Canyon Loop Trail in Colorado Springs is a great in-town hike bursting with color and views of Pikes Peak, Red Rocks Canyon, and Colorado Springs and the quarry.

Though there is snow in the high country already during October and November, there are a lot of hikes close to Denver and Colorado Springs that don’t take you too far into the mountains. Fall and early spring hikes are just a short distance from the city.

View from Red Rocks Loop Trail

Fall is a great time to get in some lowland hikes before the winter really sets in. There are still golden leaves on the trees too!

Directions

Trailhead is located off of Highway 24 (West side of Colorado Springs). Go south off of 24 onto Ridge Road then left through a gate and into the parking lot for the trailhead.
